The University of New Mexico Student Support Services provides students the opportunity to nurture their academic goals. To ensure success in the classroom and with them, students attend skill building seminars that enhance their abilities while helping them evaluate their own academic and personal profiles. Students participating in the program are required to meet regularly with their academic advisor, attend workshops, attend tutoring sessions and attend cultural events/activities.

The UNM Student Support Services Program is 100% funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education under the Higher Education Act of 1965 in the amount of $229,338.
